The Secret Order of Ossus
Official Guild Policies (v.7.3.09)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

General Policies:

- Do not talk bad about the guild, its officers or how things are being run. We will attempt to take all suggestions into consideration; however disrespecting the guild is cause for immediate removal.

- Be respectful and courteous to your fellow guild members to include the general gaming population If you notice something that a fellow guildie is doing wrong, politely tell them where they need to improve. If the problem persists contact a guild officer. The Secret Order of Ossus has a high reputation for being considerate to everyone in or outside of the guild.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guild Leadership

-The guild is lead by a Guild Master and a 12 Member Council. (High Council) The Guild Master is mainly a deciding vote if the High Council has come to a deadlock on an issue and has the right to over ride the High Council in extreme circumstances. However the Guild Master will write a detailed explanation for the council over-ride.

Guild Master – The Guild master is the leader of the guild. The guild master will be responsible for overseeing the general welfare of the guild and insuring its growth and progression. Guild master has full control over guild bank and its resources.

High Council - Is a 12 member board intended to govern the Day to day activities of the guild, maintain the guild bylaws, schedule events, maintain guild cohesion. The High Council is lead by The Head of the High Council or Second in charge of the guild will chair any guild or officer meetings on behalf of the Guild Master. The High Council will not drop below 6 members without holding elections to fill Council Seats. The Guild Master may elect a member to the High Council at His/Her discretion but it is preferable for the High Council to elect its own members. Council Members may remove any member from the guild for any infraction of guild policy. However a 2/3 vote must occur. High Council Members have full access to the Guild Bank (Unless changed by unforseen circumstances) and will have almost the same guild control as the GM. (Adding/removing members, guild rankings, Motd, chat channels ect)

Overlord- Is the initial officer rankings before being elected to the High Council. Officers of the guild are charged with enforcing guild bylaws, investigating issues of interest, and handling day to day operations of the guild. Officers have limited access to the Guild Bank and may distribute items to Members on a case by case basis. Overlords may invite new members to the guild or promote members but may not remove members or demote in guild ranking.

Raiding Ranks – (All three ranks are equal) This rank is given to those members who have reached level 80 and have the "best" gear possible to do our progression raids
- Warlord - Tank Class
- Cardinal - Healing Class
- Enforcer – DPS

PvP / PvE – Are non raiding members (Or limited raiding availability) but are full members of the guild. They also may not meet minimum raid requirements. These ranks are intended as a progression through regular non raiding or pvp means. From these ranks members maybe promoted to officer by the Council or GM.
- Gladiator
- Spartan
- Soldier

Recruit – Are the potential members to the guild. They have either not been in the guild longer than 14 days, or have not registered on the website.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guild Removal Policy

- Aggressive and or belligerent behavior to another member or regular game population will result in removal from the guild if done after the initial warning from a guild officer.
- "Ninja Looting" or looting items that do not belong to you CAN result in removal from the guild unless actions are not taken to remedy the offense. (If it was an accidental mistake then you can pay the value to the rightful owner, or petition a gm about it)
- Hacking, cheating, botting, or manipulating the game in any way shape or form will result in removal from the guild.
- Being inactive for longer than 30 days without prior notice will result in guild removal.
- Continuous miniscule offenses (afk during raids, arguing in guild chat, being immature, whining about loot, etc.)
- Activly looking for another guild while still in SOO (Council Member discretion - Investigation into matter may be nessesary to aquire correct judgement before removal)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raiding Policies:

- Raid times are 9:30pm-12-1am Server Time (6:30pm-10pm PST). Times may be extended based on circumstances. We expect everyone to raid the full duration. If you cannot, please let any officer know that you need to leave early so we can find a replacement.
- Bring your own consumables to raids. This includes: Flasks, Food, Oils, and Pots prior to raid start.
- Going AFK during a raid should never be done unless there is a very good reason. If you absolutely cannot avoid going AFK, tell an officer either in raid chat or on VENT that you have to go and how long you will be gone for.
- Always keep VENT clear so the officers can run/call out the raid. Only if you have something very important to say is it acceptable to speak up. Keep in mind; we don't need to hear the "play by play" of what is going on with your character.
- Do not complain about repair bills, costs of consumables, not getting an invite and or looting.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looting Policy

-Instances (5 Man)
In most cases in a 5 player instance looting is done by “group looting” method. This is the default for all instances unless otherwise changed by the group leader. Using the need/greed/pass method members should only roll for one needed item per instance run. (Won item only) When greeding on items should be determined prior to instance if items are to be DE for mat pass out after instance or if all items are to be greeded on during instance.

-Raid (25man +)
In a raid, 25+ man instance, looting is done by a Master Looter. The Master Looter in most cases will be the GM or High Council member unless otherwise directed. Item pass out will be on a need/greed basis. On one run of an instance (Raid ID # specific) a person may roll NEED for 1 item (Main Spec) and 1 Tiered Piece. If the item is not rolled upon the item will go to a greed roll. Greed rolls can be for main spec or for off spec items. (No Limit, However don’t be greedy). On greed rolls items will stay within classes. For example a clothie will not receive a plate armor piece and so on.

-Disenchanted Items
Disenchanted items received during an instance will be distributed first to party members that did not receive any item. (5 player instances only) If any shards are left over after initial rolls have been completed then a re-roll for the shards may occur and distributed to the highest rollers. Items disenchanted during raids will be placed in guild bank only.

- B.O.E. Items
Bind on equip items looted from a party or raid instance can be distributed to the party or collected and sent to the Guild Bank for sale or use by guild members. The group or raid leader may determine this during the group or raid.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guild Bank

The Guild Bank is for all our members usage. The guild bank allows for all members soldier and above to deposit items only onto most tabs. To retrieve an item from the guild bank a member must contact a guild officer. The guild officer will determine if the request is valid and distribute the items accordingly. Any guild bank item must be used for the character in the guild and not for alts or friends outside of the guild. New recruits do not have access to the guild bank but may be able to view items.

Voice Server

The guild has established a voice server for all our members to use. It is advised and required in most raids that members utilize ventrillo regardless if they are able to talk on it or not. The purpose of using ventrillo is to be more aware of the surroundings in which we play. You will be able to hear directions for fights in a timely manner, not to mention be warned if something is about to happen. Please be courteous of those that are in the same chat channel. Offensive, rude, racial remarks will not be tolerated and may result in further action taken by the High Council.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recruitment

The recruitment of players is always encouraged by all members. We are always looking for qualified members that will enhance the guild. If you have raided, quested, done instances or PvPed with someone that you think may be an asset to the guild, contact a guild officer for admittance.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guild Web Site

The guild web site is a useful tool, It’s meant to be a positive experience for the guild, you are highly encouraged to use it whether for informational purposes, chatting with fellow guild mates, or asking for help. There is a lot of helpful information available, patch notes, class forums, raid info and general chat forums. Much of the guild information from the Guild Master / High Council is passed down thru the forums. So it is encouraged to check the forums frequently.
